Hello! Today I used my favorite bundle! Oh so Succulent. I am so sad that it will be retiring at the end of May. Don’t regret not having it, it has many uses and is such a fun bundle to play with. The basket builder framelits are also retiring at the end of the month. You still have time to order them from my online store. Click on my supply list and it will take you right to my store.
Once they are gone they are gone so take a minute to order today!
Whisper White cs 8 1/2 x 11 scored at 4 1/4, 3×3
Sweet sugarplum 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 and 3 x 4
Succulent garden DSP 2 1/4 x 4, 3 1/4 x 4, 2 3/4 x 3 3/4
Old olive cs 3×3
Glitter paper cut to 1/2 of Doily size
This card took a little time to cut out all the little pieces and to color the edges of the succulent flowers. Once everything was cut out I layered the DSP to the card base and then added a piece of ribbon across the seam of where the two pieces of paper meet. I attached the ribbon to the back side of the cardstock so I could then slip the other pieces of DSP under the ribbon, I added a close up picture to show better of what I am talking about. I then attached all the little pieces to the basket and glued it to the doily and glitter paper. I attached the flowers with half a dimensional.
I hope you are inspired to make a Mothers Day card. I’m sure she will love it!
Have a great week!
I am loving the colors in this card. They are so soft and delicate. I couldn’t decide if I should use a white circle background or a sky blue one, so I chose both! I offset the scalloped circles with the main pink circle and layered them all on a delicate doily. Finishing it off with a tiny bow I made.
Hope you enjoy!
If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Have a great day!
Soft Sky 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon
Mothers Day is sneaking upon us! This is a simple and elegant card to make.
First I used a piece of Falling in love designer series paper to stamp touches of texture flowers around it to make a colorful background.
I stamped the main flower stamp onto crumb cake cardstock.
Use Calypso coral and watermelon wonder to color flowers and mint macaron to color leaves.
Slowly tear around the image towards you.
Adhere to a piece of very vanilla cardstock and tear that towards you around the first torn image.
Sponge around torn edges of the very vanilla cardstock with watermelon wonder ink.
Add a bow around bottom half of flower image.
Stamp a piece of falling in love dsp with Happy Mothers Day from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set. Cut out with classic label punch.
Adhere all layers together with snail.
Happy Mothers Day!
